Monticello Rotary was out in force to help Ride 2 Survive - Sullivan County raise much needed funds to providing transportation costs to and from life saving treatments and appointments for cancer patients and their caregivers. Ride 2 Survive is a completely volunteer organization meaning every dollar raised goes directly to the cause. With the unforeseen expenses of treating cancer, Ride 2 Survive allows for those going through the most difficult part of their lives, to take a breath away from the concerns that they may have to decide between paying the rent, or the gas to fill their tank to get to their treatments.
Monticello Rotary President Lori Orestano-James holds an Annual Birthday and ReBirthday Fundraising Event. Monticello Rotary helped in the cause once again with a donation to the event for $250 as they have done for numerous years to help Lori meet her goal of at least $5000 per year. Over the last 7 years, Lori has raised over $35,000 for Ride 2 Survive and thanks her fellow Rotarians through both Club Donations and individual donations in helping her to show The Magic of Rotary.
