Monticello Rotary Club was given a great presentation by Town of Thompson Highway Supervisor Richard Benjamin. He gave us a lot of terrific information on the service provided to the residents of Town of Thompson. Including how the 5.4 million budget is used. Some of the changes in recent years have been the elimination of sanding the roads to using salt and a pretreatment with salt slurry to keep the roads from freezing up in the first place. He told us that the Town of Thompson has one of the lowest tax rates in the Hudson Valley. Thank you, Town of Thompson Town Board!
